Microsoft Azure AI Foundry Integrates Anthropic Claude Models: Claude Opus 4.8 and Haiku 4.5 Available with Prompt Caching and Extended Thinking

Anthropic Claude models are now fully available on Microsoft Foundry (Azure AI Foundry). Enterprise users can deploy and invoke Claude models directly within Azure environments, using existing Azure authentication, billing, and governance. Currently supports Claude Opus 4.8 and Claude Haiku 4.5, including prompt caching and extended thinking capabilities for programming, intelligent agents, and complex reasoning tasks. Microsoft Foundry provides access to over 11,000 foundational, open, reasoning, multimodal, and industry-specific models spanning OpenAI, Anthropic, Meta and others. The integration strengthens Microsoft enterprise AI ecosystem against Google Cloud and AWS competition.
