Nokia awards five-year contract to Wipro for digital transformation

A five-year partnership between Wipro and Nokia has been signed. However, the size of the transaction was kept a secret. According to an exchange filing by the Bengaluru-based IT company Wipro, it will provide business services in support of Nokia's updated operating model with a focus on process optimisation, touchless processing, and improved user and customer experience across order management, supply chain, finance, and accounting operations. The partnership reflects Nokia's ongoing efforts to streamline and modernize its internal operations as it navigates a period of significant transformation in the telecommunications equipment industry. By outsourcing these business processes to Wipro, Nokia aims to achieve greater operational efficiency, reduce costs, and focus more resources on its core networking technology and AI infrastructure businesses.
