Microsoft Azure Updates: GenAI Telemetry Protection in Application Insights, DDoS Protection Custom Policy, IPv6 VPN Gateway GA

Microsoft Azure released multiple July 2026 updates. Azure Monitor Application Insights now stores generative AI content in a dedicated GenAIContent table (AppGenAIContent in Log Analytics), enabling newly available access controls for sensitive generative AI telemetry. Azure DDoS Protection custom policy is in public preview, providing per-resource control over DDoS mitigation thresholds for protected Standard Load Balancer frontend IP configurations. IPv6 support for Azure VPN Gateway is now generally available.
