The networking sector is witnessing intense competition around distributed computing solutions: Nvidia recently introduced similar data center interconnect technology, and Broadcom's Jericho4 offers comparable 51.2Tbps switching capabilities. While these advancements solve bandwidth limitations, latency remains an ongoing concern: light-speed transmission over 1,000km introduces ~5ms delays.
