Telenor launched a new Nordic TV platform in partnership with AWS and Scalstrm AB, providing modern streaming services in Norway, Sweden, and Finland. The cloud-based unified origin platform uses AWS's advanced cloud compute, low-latency AWS Direct Connect, and large-scale storage, alongside Scalstrm's infrastructure-as-code cloud-native technology for consistent deployment. It handles over 20% of Telenor's commercial channels, achieving efficiency, cost savings, and scalability, with goals to reduce operational costs by up to 50% and future support for instant transcoding.
